Christmas season always brings pleasant memories for me. It used to be busy time at school, with half yearly exams finishing up, the Catholicism group singing carols, the decorative setup of the scene when Jesus was born and finally the school closing for Christmas break. At work the usual lively Christmas parties entertained me in New Zealand. (And then when we were back in the new year the gossip email be published ;)). Now that I have seen white Christmas here in the US, the summer time in the southern hemisphere has a different charm , which one should experience, but white Christmas is just picture perfect :)
Then came the time in my life when New Years eve celebration was a big deal! Secunderabad club was the preferred destination. Days ahead we would decide what to wear, bargain (with parents) for permission to stay up late and created all the fuss as much as we could as young women. Somehow since I have left India I have never ever had as great a New Years as I did back home. I am hoping this time it would be different though!
