Musicals

The charm of musicals is something eh? Been watching Glee, and totally enjoying it. Its the usual drama but something I thought how did I not watch this before kinds? Loved Season 1 cant say about other ones as I havent really watched much after that. However if you do a weekend marathon of episodes like I usually do it can get a little too heavy to watch as its pretty musical that way :-)

As we drove across places over the weekend. My girls have been humming in the back seat and its adorable. Their rhymes are their world and they fill in their baby words and actually  sing, so grown up-like and so cute :-)Thery are being such typical 21 month olds and insist on doing everything on their own, they hate if we offer to hold their hands when walking or getting down the stairs, NOOO says AL curtly. AG is a little better in climbing up and down, AL needs more practice so I kinda worry a little for her so she gets defensive and I have to obey her and just shadow her. They want to wear their own shoes, socks, the latest being trying to fit into Mommy's high heels and feel good about it!

Spoke to my Ajji after a while and luckily her hearing co-operated so we had a good conversation , she imparted all those specific values that are important in bringing up little children.

Now for Sunday night pleasures - Celebrity Apprentice here I come ;)

Kiddos and a fun weekend

Last weekend we had friends over to stay for the weekend. We couldnt really go out as we planned partly cos we got lazy and stayed home. Took kids out to Children's museum where they had a ball. It was fun to watch them trying to dance to disco music and lights on the floor in the play area. They also enjoyed patiently driving the car. AL played with the steering wheel to her heart's content. This weekend AL and AG both but especially AL surprised us with her ABC song, she sang the whole thing with even the ending, now I know my ABCs next time wont you sing with me! She observed AR their 2 1/2 yr old buddy sing and it inspired them. So needless to say I am maha thrilled that they learnt it on their own even before they turned 22 months. AG is more into numbers and says 1- 10 almost AL does not show as much interest in numbers as of now. Both of them know a word that each alphabet stands for, like they know S is for Snake, V for Vaccum etc

The day light saving and late weekend nights threw us off schedule last 2 days and your truly is working from home today, just-like-that. The spring weather is 75+ and its only mid March so awesome is the word to describe the weather. I got some colors to show them both for Holi and symbolically applied a little on their faces which stunned them as to how I was encouraging the mess. All this in the bath tub of course. And AG wanted more and more.Even for Valentines day P got them 2 heart shaped balloons and they were so thrilled with it, played a lot with it.

Our home lease ends soon and the house hunt is still on. Might end up continuing in same house? Hmmm

Made thota kura pulusu after so long, turned out exactly like my Mommy's, almost! Yay - slurp! slurp! and pat on my back! Hogged it to the last drop.

My MIL would have really appreciated it. Really have you really left us?
